Is a LEED accredited designer whose interests span from environmental design to furniture and product design. His broad range of thinking leads him to create work that is emotionally engaging and often unexpected.
Chris was born in 1980 in Los Angeles, CA where he currently resides. In 2002, Chris graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from UCLA and went on to study environmental design at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA where he graduated with honors in 2007. His exposure to the rich community of artists and designers that surrounded him throughout his studies led Chris to embark on a career in design not constrained by disciplinary boundaries.
While designing with studios in New York City and Los Angeles, Chris has worked with clients such as W Hotels, Janus et Cie, Disney, and Westfield along with private institutions and individuals both national and international. Chris currently designs with Test Collective, a full service design studio which he founded with Brooklyn based designer, Piotr Woronkowicz. Chris also designs with Rios Clementi Hale Studios—a renowned multi-disciplinary firm in Los Angeles—where he works on projects ranging from urban planning to product design.
In 2008, Chris was included as part of Bernhardt design’s Global Edition where he premiered his stacking chair, Audio, alongside designers Arik Levy, Yves Behar and Jeffrey Bernett at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. Chris was awarded Interior Design’s Best of Year award for guest seating along with Chicago Athenaeum’s Good Design award for his Audio design.
Chris has exhibited nationally and internationally and in 2007 was a featured speaker at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair. He has been featured in global design magazines such as Surface, Wallpaper, Metropolis, Metropolitan Home, Interior Design, Art and Auction, +81, Mark, and Monacle. Chris continues to be involved in educational design by serving as a guest critic for design studios at Art Center College of Design, USC, and Otis.
PIOTR WORONKOWICZ
Is a designer that offers materially rich projects through his unique and particular design process. Using advanced 3D technology and manufacturing he is able to achieve unexplored design potential in various disciplines of design ranging from furniture and products to graphics and overall design applications. Currently residing in Brooklyn, NY, he and designer, Chris Adamick collaboratively founded and operate Test Collective, a bi-coastal full service design studio.
Born in Gdansk, Poland in 1978, Piotr moved to North America at an early age. Throughout his life, Piotr has lived in cities across North America including Toronto, Vancouver, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, and New York City. Piotr attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California for Product Design and graduated with honors in 2007.
While in L.A., Piotr worked in the offices of Don Chadwick where he worked with clients such as Knoll, Herman Miller, and OXO. In New York City, Piotr has worked with clients such as Chrysler, Pepsi, and Home Depot. He has appeared in various international design magazines including Wallpaper, Surface, ID, Plus81, DDN, and newspapers such as the LA Times. Piotr continues to stay involved in the educational aspects of design by guest lecturing at places including Parsons The New School for Design, the University of Southern California, and the Art Center College of Design. In 2007, Piotr won a Spark Award for his facet table.
